Taalenta demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting the technology community by participating in the Future Innovation and Discovery Information and Technology (FindIT) UGM 2023 event. In this collaboration, Taalenta plays a crucial role as the provider of the problem setter team as well as the judging team for the Capture The Flag (CTF) competition branch.
Capture The Flag (CTF) is a type of competition in the field of cybersecurity designed to test participants' knowledge and skills in analyzing, protecting, and penetrating computer systems. Participants are challenged to "steal" or "capture" specific information known as a "flag" from the prepared systems or applications.
The Taalenta problem setter team consists of five members led by Anggrahito, an expert in Hacking at Taalenta. Anggrahito, who has obtained certifications as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) MBA, leads his team in designing a series of challenges across five main categories: crypto, reverse engineering, web, forensics, and Open-source intelligence (OSINT).
Not only designing challenges, the Taalenta problem setter team is also responsible for assessing participants' write-ups. They will ensure the validity of the submitted write-ups and serve as judges to determine the winners of this competition.
This event takes place from March 12 to May 7, 2023. The event is also filled with a series of other activities, such as a technical meeting on May 12, a warm-up for participants and the committee on May 13, the qualification round on May 14, the announcement of finalists on May 20, the final round on June 3, and the announcement of the CTF winners on June 4, 2023.
FindIT, an annual event organized by DTETI FT UGM, also hosts various other activities, including IT Academy, IT Fest, and various competitions such as Competitive Programming, Data Analytics Competition, Hackathon, CTF, and E-sport. The goal of this event is to develop and provide a platform for the community interested in the field of Information Technology.
